As expected,
there was little to choose between Battyeford and Drighliington under 12's
as the two sides that finished the season on level points at the top of Div
3 took the field to play for the honour of taking the League Title. |

|
Drighlington took
the lead after 25 minutes and doubled their advantage just 5 minutes later
but, Battyeford pegged one back within a minute to leave the game finely
balanced at half time. |

|
|
|
Drighlington's two
goal margin was restored within 5 minutes of the re-start but, a second
Battyeford goal 10 minutes from time kept the game on a knife edge right up
until the final whistle. |

|
|
|
Despite Battyeford's
efforts, Drighlington managed to hold on for a 3-2 victory. |
