unable to complete the first part of their triple trophy chase when they
were defeated in the West Riding County Cup Final on Wednesday (18th April) |

On a cold and extremely wet
evening at the County's Woodlesford Ground, Halifax simply never got going
against a speedy and well organised Pontefract St Josephs. |
|
|
|
|
|
Three up at half time, Pontefract
virtually settled the issue with a fourth goal early in the second half. |
|
|
|
|
|
James Denny pulled one back for
Halifax as they tried hard to get back into the game and, but for some
wayward finishing, they might have got more from the game but, Pontefract
were deserving winners in the end. |
|
|
|
|
|
Halifax's season is not finished
yet as they now resume their chase for a League and Cup double. |
