Brighouse Take Top Prize

Brighouse Town produced one of their best performances of the season to lift the West Riding County FA u16 Cup.

Brighouse almost went a goal down in the first minute but keeper Dan Holmes produced an outstanding save to deny Yorkshire Amateurs

The scare fired Brighouse into action and they took the lead after just 5 minutes when Jordan Byrnes fired home from 15 yards.

Sulleman Rafiq doubled Town's advantage on 17 minutes with a terrific shot from the edge of the area but, Yorkshire Amateurs were back in the game when Bradley Hulme hit a swerving shot into the top corner just before half time.

Rafiq went on to complete his hat trick in the second half and Angus Hastings rounded off a captain's display with a fifth goal 10 minutes from the end to give Brighouse a comfortable victory.
