FORGET ME NOT

EQUALITY

The Huddersfield RCD Junior League is now an official fundraiser for the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice.

Forget Me Not representatives, Gina Fielding & Richard Mitchell made an appeal for funds on behalf of the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice at the League's meeting in March.
The meeting voted in favour of a £1.00 per player registration fee to be applicable from season 2012-13 which will be donated to the Hospice.  There were no votes against.

The Forget Me Not Hospice supports children with life limiting conditions and their families across Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield.

Teams and Players will be able to see and read in the local press about how their money is benefiting other less fortunate young people.

Over the last 10 years the charity has raised enough funding to build a brand new hospice, costing over £2m, but the hard work doesn’t stop there.

The Charity's Partnership Development Manager Kate Goldring said...
“We now have an amazing new facility, in order to run vital services for children and families we need to raise over £2m every year, so the support of the community is now more important than ever.”

League Secretary Eric Kershaw said...
"I'm delighted that the League has chosen to support the Children's Hospice.  This is a local charity which will provide a wonderful service to children and their families and the League's players can see, directly, how their donations are helping."
